That Golf Match

With very heavy defeats in the Solheim Cup and the Walker Cup, the game of golf has gone to a new low here in Great Britain.

However, the performance of St Leonard’s golf team in the annual match against Hope Park/Martyrs/Strathkinness etc, showed a great deal of skill and spirit, as the match really came down to the last putt, and we lost three and a half to two and a half. I thank the team for their huge effort, and Rev Graeme for his support at the final holes of the match. I encourage everyone to get on the Driving Range over the next twelve months, so that we can change the result next time. Faith has its share of bunkers, and golf has its share of prayers. Keep swinging!!!!.                                                            Douglas Gray
